Cars collide head-on, three young people die and one is injured on ES highway | North and Northwest – ES

An accident killed three young people in Nova Venécia, Northwest of Espírito Santo, on Wednesday night (24), on the ES-137 state highway, in the Aeroporto neighborhood.

According to the Military Police, one vehicle was heading towards Nova Venécia towards Vila Pavão and the other was heading in the opposite direction when the two collided head-on.

Two teams from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) were called, but the driver of the Jetta, Linike Lázaro Lourenço, and a passenger in the Fox, Eduardo Balbino, died at the scene.

A third victim, Bleno Silva, who was driving the Fox, was rescued, but succumbed to his injuries and died in hospital. Each vehicle also had a passenger. Eduardo was with Bleno and Línike was with Kaio, who survived.

According to friends and relatives, Kaio Costa was taken in serious condition to the Roberto Silvares hospital, in São Mateus, and was admitted to the ICU.

A cousin of the victim said that Kaio is stable, intubated and with fractures in both legs.

Civil Police experts went to the scene and the vehicles involved were released to family members.

In a statement, the Scientific Police reported that the investigation was called in the early hours of this Thursday, around 3:12 a.m., for a crash with a fatal victim. The bodies of the fatal victims, three men aged 28, 25 and 32, were sent to the Legal Medical Service (SML) of Colatina, to be autopsied and, later, released to their families.

According to the Civil Police, the case will continue to be investigated by the Nova Venécia Regional Police Station.
