The search for innovation in Brazilian public law, always focusing on better service provided to the population, was highlighted during the opening ceremony of the 2nd Renagei Seminar, on Wednesday night (24/04), at Palácio Rio Negro, Centro. The national event, which brings together prosecutors from across the country, has as its theme “Governance, Integrity and Innovation in Brazilian Public Advocacy”.

The 2nd Renagei Seminar is being held by the State Attorney General’s Office (PGE-AM) and the National Network for Strategic Management and Innovation of the Attorney General’s Offices of the States and Federal District (Renagei), with support from the Government of Amazonas.

“The Government of the State of Amazonas pursues innovation to improve the quality of the service offered to citizens, and public law, through the State Attorney General’s Office, which is a fundamental body in the defense of the State, must always be modern and be being updated”, stated the Secretary of State for Economic Development, Science, Technology and Innovation (Sedecti), Serafim Corrêa, who, on the occasion, represented the governor of Amazonas.

Structured into 4 panels, 4 workshops, in addition to thematic lectures, the seminar will address topics such as compliance, generative AI, processes and technologies, adjustments in legal language, among other topics, this Thursday and Friday (25th and 26th/ 04), at the Vasco Vasques Convention Center.

“It is extremely important for a mass society, of mass relations, of judicialization, to talk about Artificial Intelligence, of better rational methods for carrying out collections and recovery of tax credits, for example”, stated the State Attorney General , Giordano Bruno Costa da Cruz.

“Amazonas welcomes Renagei, which is a national network, in which all state prosecutors’ offices are present, so that Artificial Intelligence can be discussed and ideas and information can be exchanged to improve the performance of Brazilian public law”, highlighted the attorney general of State.

The use of Artificial Intelligence by the Judiciary will be the theme of the meeting’s opening panel. “AI, Ethics and the Brazilian Judicial System” and “AI and the promotion of innovation in the Public Power” will be debated this Thursday morning.

For the deputy attorney general of the Federal District and president of Renagei, Izabela Frota Melo, prosecutors need to discuss governance and innovation, as a way of seeking the necessary update in the provision of public services.

“It is not enough to have this specialization in the legal area, to be great attorneys, to provide good legal representation, good legal consultancy. It is important that we know how to govern our bodies in order to deliver the best value to the Municipality, the State and the Federal District, as well as to the Brazilian citizen”, highlights Izabela Frota.

“We need to deliver more, citizens need to have more trust in public bodies and public servants. For this, this innovation, not only in technology, but in people, culture, minds, the way of working, is necessary. We cannot miss the train of history”, adds the president of Renagei.
