Manaus – Flamengo’s opponent in the third phase of the Brazilian Cup, Amazonas officially announced the signing of striker Dentinho, 35, to compete in Series B of the Brazilian Championship. He has been in the Amazonian capital for a week and is already training with the squad.

The striker, who started his career at Corinthians, will play for the first time in the north of Brazil. Dentinho’s last club was Ceará, in 2022. Outside the country, he played for Shakhtar, in Ukraine, for 11 years and won more than 15 titles.

In order to take the field in both Série B and the Copa do Brasil, Dentinho still needs to appear in the CBF’s Daily Newsletter (BID).

In addition to Dentinho, Amazonas has some well-known names in Brazilian football: strikers Jô (ex-Corinthians), Sassá, Ênio (ex-Botafogo players) and Willian Barbio (ex-Vasco), midfielder Giovanni (ex-Fluminense ) and defender Miranda (on loan from Vasco).

The first leg with Flamengo will be next week, Wednesday, May 1st, at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã. The return match is scheduled for the 22nd of next month, at Arena da Amazônia, at the same time.
