MC Daniel was honored with the set of Pedro Ernesto medals, the highest honor from the Rio City Council, this Thursday (25).
In a private ceremony, he received the medals from councilor Verônica Costa (Republicans), author of the tribute. The parliamentarian states that she was inspired by the singer’s humility.
”It is a stimulus so that he can be increasingly celebrated and recognized. The youth of the favela need this. This humanized side of him, which many lose when they become successful, he didn’t lose. He values this a lot and it delights me”, highlights the councilor.
Known as Mãe Loira, Verônica Costa began her career in the funk universe more than a decade ago. During the tribute, emotional, the singer said that His biggest dream in life is to make his family proud.
“Believe in your dreams. Knowing that I never had to do anything wrong and I never limited myself. I’m very happy”, says the MC.

Last weekend, the MC published a video on social media that shows him helping a boy who was asking for money at a traffic signal in Rio de Janeiro.
The boy had a sign that said “Hello, have a great day everyone, I come here to ask for your help because my mother can’t pay the rent.”
The singer, then, moved, offered cash help and the purchase of supplies for the boy’s family. Besides him, his mother has other young children.
Once in the car, the boy said that he had been robbed by other boys at the traffic light hours before and lost everything. That’s why he was crying when he met the artist. A little confused, he even said that MC Daniel was a fan of his – and the singer agreed.
“This is a video so you don’t lose faith“, Daniel wrote on social media.
In the post, the boy who received the help commented:
“Firstly, I thank God for putting you in my path, I also want to thank you for helping me when I needed it most. Thank you for everything, I’m your fan, you are light. My family and I thank you with all our hearts”, thanked the teenager.
