A 57-year-old bricklayer died after a wall fell on him in Varginha, in the south of Minas Gerais, this Thursday (April 25). The victim was rescued, however, he did not survive his injuries.

The Fire Department reported that the bricklayer was working on demolishing the wall of a supermarket when he was surprised by the structure that gave way. He had injuries to his waist and severe bleeding. The man still suffered cardiorespiratory arrest before the rescue team arrived.

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation protocols were carried out, and the victim was taken to the Emergency Care Unit (UPA). Despite resuscitation maneuvers, the bricklayer did not respond to stimuli and died.

Civil Police experts went to the scene of the accident to carry out the work. The case will be investigated.
