Alagoas Tourism Secretariat promotes breakfast and trains 100 travel agents in Buenos Aires

At breakfast, the agents were presented with the state’s main tourist attractions.

The State Secretariat for Tourism (Setur) promoted, on Wednesday (24), a breakfast for 100 travel agents, in partnership with the operator All Seasons. The aim is to boost Destination Alagoas in the largest international market for tourists. The action aimed to strengthen the connection with agents, promoting and bringing them closer to Destination Alagoas. The promotion took place at the Alvear Art Hotel.

At breakfast, agents were presented with the state’s main tourist attractions, highlighting the destination’s seven tourist regions. Around 20 hotel representatives were present, encouraging action and strengthening ties with the main operators. The event showcased the culture, gastronomy, crafts and all of Alagoas diversity.

The renewal of the partnership with the operator All Seasons is the result of the positive results achieved with the training of travel agents in 2023.

When fulfilling the agenda in the Argentine country, the Secretary of State for Tourism, Bárbara Braga, highlighted the importance of maintaining a strong connection with the country to increasingly boost tourism in the state.

“Argentina is our largest source market, training travel agents is one of the strategies we adopt to further strengthen the flow of tourists we receive from the Argentine country. All the promotion and marketing actions of our destination over the last year have brought us positive results and consolidated Destination Alagoas as a tourist preference. We seek to maintain and increase the flow we receive, and this commitment is reflected in the extra flights we will have during the low season, connecting Buenos Aires to Alagoas”, concluded the Secretary of State.

During the event, the agents competed for trips to Destination Alagoas, so that they can see, live and feel the destination, getting to know the tourist attractions and all the beauty of the state. In total, 12 agents were drawn. One of the winners, travel agent Adriana Nemirovsky, spoke about her expectations of visiting Alagoas. ‘I went to Destination Alagoas many years ago, it was one of the most charming destinations I’ve seen in the Brazilian Northeast. Now I was lucky enough to win this trip and I hope to return to the destination soon”, highlighted Adriana.

During 2023, numerous events were held on Argentine soil, road shows toured the cities of Mendoza, Córdoba and Buenos Aires training travel agents. In addition to carrying out a famtour with around 60 agents, where they were able to experience and get to know Alagoas up close.

This Thursday (25), the agenda in the country will be completed, where around 40 travel agents will be trained during a lunch in Córdoba, in partnership with the operator hello.

Extra flights

The State Government announced the increase of two extra flights in the month of July, considered the low season month. Zumbi dos Palmares International Airport will receive extra flights from the Argentine capital during weekends.

The achievement demonstrates that Alagoas is a competitive state and that airlines understand the state as a great market for increasing flights beyond the high season.
