Mayor Eduardo Paes (PSD) leads the electoral race in Rio with 42.6% of voting intentions, according to an Atlas/Intel survey released on Wednesday (24.Apr.2023). Federal deputy Alexandre Ramagem (PL) appears in 2nd place, with 31.2%.

The research was registered with the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) under number RJ-00787/2024. Heard 1,239 residents of the city of Rio de Janeiro, through random digital recruitment, from April 18th to 23rd. The margin of error is plus or minus 3 percentage points and the confidence level is 95%. It cost R$35,000 and was paid for with its own resources.

2nd round

The survey also measured voting intentions in 2 scenarios: in the dispute between Paes and Ramagem and between Paes and federal deputy Tarcísio Motta (Psol). The mayor leads in both hypotheses.

In the scenario against Ramagem, Paes had 51% of voting intentions, against 36.7% for his rival. In the dispute with Motta, the mayor received 50.3% of the votes, compared to 21% for the deputy.
