Authored by Eliane Pereira Gonçalves and team, the series covers the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, completed in 2023, and how it is being applied. The award is divided into five axes, related to different higher courts. The work of National Radio Agency was awarded in axis 3, of the Superior Court of Justice.

At the ceremony, the president of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Luís Roberto Barroso, highlighted the important role of media outlets in combating misinformation, hate speech and conspiracy theories. “We have never needed the press as much as we do now,” he said.

A EBC was a finalist in other categories, with four episodes of the program Reporting Paths, from the TV Brasil, and a special from Brasília National Radio.

In total, 261 works were registered in the available categories. The judging commissions, constituted by the courts, were made up of ministers, specialized jurists and press professionals.

The award is a joint action of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), the Superior Court of Justice (STJ), the Superior Labor Court (TST) and the Superior Military Court (STM) to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the 1988 Federal Constitution (celebrated on October 5 last year) and promote reflection on the rights it guaranteed.
