This Thursday (25), the day starts with lots of clouds across Bahia. Rain showers are expected in the micro-regions of Itaberaba, Ilhéus-Itabuna, Jequié, Feira de Santana and regions such as metropolitan Salvador and northeastern Bahia.
During the afternoon, there is only a chance of rain in the state. At night, isolated rains are forecast in the micro-regions of Itaberaba, Jequié, Feira de Santana and regions such as metropolitan Salvador and northeastern Bahia.
The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) warns of the potential danger of heavy rain and intense winds in the northeast, central-north, central-south and south of Bahia.
According to Inmet, in Bahia the influence of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ZCIT) will bring instability especially to the state’s coast, where rain showers are expected. Accumulations in these areas can exceed 100 mm, due to the intense transport of moisture from the ocean to the continent. This condition contrasts with the interior of Bahia, where there is no rain forecast during the same period. Therefore, while the coastal part will face heavy rains, the interior will remain dry.
The minimum temperature is around 17°C, in Mucugê, and the maximum temperature is predicted to be 37ºC, in Riachão das Neves. Relative air humidity varies between 70% and 100%.
