In order to encourage participation and alleviate student costs, the Brazilian government announces a financial incentive of R$200 for ENEM 2024 candidates. This benefit is part of the Pé-de-Meia program and is aimed at third-year students high school students who meet specific criteria.

Who receives R$200 to participate in ENEM 2024?

Not all registrants will have access to the benefit. To be eligible, the student must be in their final year of high school, between 14 and 24 years old, and their family must be beneficiaries of Bolsa Família.

  • Participate in the Pé-de-Meia program;
  • Be in the third year of high school;
  • Be between 14 and 24 years of age;
  • Being part of a Bolsa Família beneficiary family.

How to Register for ENEM 2024?

Registration for ENEM 2024 will begin in May, but it is now possible to request an exemption from the registration fee. Public school students can guarantee exemption by following a few simple steps until April 26th.

Steps to Request Enem Fee Exemption

  1. Access the Enem Participant Page;
  2. In the chat, select “Justification for absence/exemption”;
  3. Respond to the challenge by selecting the correct symbol;
  4. Enter the CPF number;
  5. Start filling out the exemption form.

Benefits Offered by Pé-de-Meia

In addition to the incentive for ENEM, the Pé-de-Meia program offers other monetary benefits that can reach a total of R$9,200 per student throughout the year. This financial support aims not only to cover transport and material costs, but also to encourage the continuity of education.

All the most important things about ENEM 2024

Registrations:

  • Period: There are still no official dates for registration, but the expectation is that the notice will be published soon, with registrations opening afterwards.
  • Fee exemption: The deadline to request an exemption from the registration fee ended on April 27, 2024. You could request an exemption:
    • Students enrolled in the 3rd year of high school in public schools in 2024;
    • Students who completed their entire secondary education in public schools or as full scholarship holders in private schools;
    • Other cases provided for in the notice.

Test Dates:

  • They have not yet been released by the MEC. The tests are expected to be administered on Sundays and Mondays in November or December 2024.

Test Content:

  • The ENEM 2024 tests will follow the same format and content as previous editions, with:
    • Languages ​​and Codes: Portuguese Language, Brazilian Literature, Foreign Language (English, Spanish or French), Mathematics and Physics.
    • Humanities and Social Sciences: History, Geography, Sociology, Philosophy and Chemistry.
    • Essay: An essay on a current and relevant topic.

Tips for preparing:

  • Start studying early: Organize your studies and set a realistic study schedule.
  • Take lots of previous tests: ENEM past exams are a great way to familiarize yourself with the format and level of difficulty of the exams.
  • Study the contents of all areas: Don’t just focus on your favorite subjects.
  • Practice writing: Writing is an important part of the ENEM, so it is important to practice regularly.
