The Federal Police seized, this Tuesday (24), approximately 800 kg of cocaine in two separate actions, in the municipalities of Campo Novo do Parecis, where 450 kg of the drug were seized, and Rondonópolis, where another 350 kg were captured.
In an integrated action with the Special Border Group (Gefron), the Military Police, the Tactical Force of the 7th and 9th Regional Commands, the Brazilian Army and the Brazilian Intelligence Agency (Abin), following information about the crash of an aircraft that was transporting weapons, ammunition and drugs on Sunday (21) in the district of Itanorte, in Campo Novo do Parecis, the task force carried out searches in the region close to the accident site.
After three days, bales totaling 450 kg of cocaine were found in the middle of the forest. The task force also located tanks with aircraft fuel close to the drugs.

Also this Tuesday, in joint action with the Federal Highway Police, Gefron, the Special Operations Battalion (Bope) and the 4th Regional Command of the PM, the PF seized another 350 kg of cocaine in a refrigerated truck during inspection in Rondonópolis .
The vehicle, an Iveco model, loaded with meat, was approached due to irregularities with the insulfilm and subjected to verification. The sniffer dogs responded to the truck, which led to a more thorough search. A compartment in the ceiling made especially for the drug was discovered.
The 52-year-old driver said he had no knowledge of the cargo, he was just taking the meat from Pontes e Lacerda to São Paulo, the capital. The man was taken to the PF police station in the municipality for the Civil Judiciary Police to take action.
