In yet another Systematic Survey of Agricultural Production (LSPA), the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) points out that Acre maintained an estimated 187,862 tons of cereals, legumes and oilseeds harvested. The data, which was released on the 11th and takes into account the month of March, maintained what was already estimated in February.
The harvest, according to the data, is driven by cassava, with 469,755 tons; corn, with 119,841 tons; and banana, with 89,226 tons

Cageacre
The president of the Acre General Warehouses and Warehouses Company (Cageacre), Pádua Bruzugu, highlighted the advances made in recent years.
“Since 2018, Cageacre has been experiencing a significant increase in operationalization in its storage units in cleaning, corn drying and rice processing, as a result of the reorganization of the units, with specific improvements, with few investments, and, mainly, with the commitment of the team to better serve our rural producers”, he informs.
Thinking about the growth of agricultural activity, strategies are being formulated to promote the segment. “We have planned future investments to also absorb soybean production, with the capture of resources to improve public policies to support, encourage and strengthen small and medium-sized rural producers in the processing, drying and storage of grain, with the implementation of grain silos in Acrelândia, Alto Acre and Purus”, reports Bruzugu.
Another important strategy is to absorb coffee production through the acquisition of machines to diversify Cageacre’s services, such as implementing the processing and drying of coffee beans at the Porto Acre unit.
