The mayor of Salvador, councilor Carlos Muniz (PSDB), presented a Bill (Nº 73/2024) to include “Clama Bahia” in the Official Calendar of Popular Festivals of Salvador. According to the parliamentarian, it is the “largest Christian event in the state”.

Carlos Muniz suggests including it in the month of September, when the event is celebrated annually. “Clama Bahia” is now in its 15th edition and attracts a large audience every year. In the first edition, in 2006, the event brought together approximately 30 thousand people.

The biggest names in gospel music were already present at the party, such as Aline Barros, André Valadão, Quatro por Um, Damares and Louva Deus, among others. In the 2011 edition, the event innovated with the Electronic Tent and the Clama Bahia Electric Trio.

According to the councilor, the party aims to bring the message of peace and evangelization to people through music. “Since its first edition, ‘Clama Bahia’ has attracted an audience that praises our Lord Jesus Christ, transforming it into an exponential Christian meeting” he assessed.

“The Salvador Municipal Government must include celebrations like this in the festival calendar, worshiping God and wishing peace to humanity”, said Carlos Muniz.
