A woman, who was 9 months pregnant, identified as Jussamara, died this Tuesday morning (23) after being run over by a pickup truck on the MS-485 highway on Monday night (22) in Aral Moreira, a city 376 km from Campo Grande. The driver fled without providing assistance.
According to the police report, Jussamara was on a Star 150 motorcycle with her husband and two children aged 1 and 3. When a truck coming behind had its high beams on. That’s why the husband threw the motorcycle to the side of the road when he felt the impact.
Still with the impact, the woman’s gestational water broke and the fetus also died. The one-year-old baby had a broken arm and the 3-year-old boy had part of his scalp cut open. The husband had bruises on both hands, forehead and other parts of his body.
The police are investigating whether the motorcycles had their lights on, as well as looking for the person responsible for the collision, who fled without providing assistance. The suspicion is that it would be an F-1000, silver in color.
The children were treated at the Dourados hospital, while the parents went to the Ponta Porã Hospital. Jussamara did not survive and died this Tuesday morning.
