A soldier was shot this Tuesday (23) in Itatim, a city 214 km from Salvador. He was the third security agent targeted by gunfire in Bahia in the last eight days. [Relembre os casos abaixo]
According to the Military Police, agents from the 11th Battalion (BPM) were supporting a Civil Police action in the municipality, when they were victims of gunshots. One of them ended up getting hit.
The corporation also says that the soldier is conscious and under medical care. Searches are carried out to capture the shooter.
TV Bahia also contacted the Civil Police, who said they still had no record of the incident.
Police officers hit in operations
He was then taken to the Subúrbio Hospital, but his condition was not detailed.
According to the Bahia Public Security Secretariat (SSP-BA), this agent did not suffer any fractures or risk death. He was also taken to Hospital do Subúrbio, where he received treatment, and was soon released.
