Court maintains arrest of people from Sergipe involved in massacre in AL

The Alagoas Court decided to maintain the arrest of the two Sergipeans suspected of participating in the deaths of four young people in the city of Arapiraca, in Alagoas. Adriano Santos Lima and Wesley Santana de Sá were arrested last Saturday, the 20th, on the same day as the main accused, the sculptor and sports shooter, Reginaldo Santana. The arrests were maintained after the custody hearings.

According to the Court of Justice of Alagoas (TJAL), after approval of the act, the judge upheld the decision that ordered the preventive detention of the two suspects. Adriano Santos Lima and Wesley Santana de Sá (nephew of the main suspect) support the version that they were forced by the sculptor Reginaldo Santana, alleged perpetrator of the shooting of the young people, to hide the bodies, but deny participation in the crime.

In addition to the deaths, the illegal carrying of weapons and the hiding of bodies, the people from Sergipe are being investigated for crimes against the environment, as they kept specimens of wild fauna without permission. According to the Alagoas Public Security Secretariat (SSP/AL), the police found two snakes, a boa constrictor and a python, at the scene of the crime. OThe animals were rescued by the Environmental Police Battalion to the Ibama Triage Center.

The Alagoas Civil Police located and arrested three Sergipe people suspected of the murder of four young people in the city of Arapiraca, in Alagoas. The bodies of the victims were located last Friday, the 19th, inside a water hole.

One of those investigated, a sculptor from Sergipe and sports shooter, was arrested in Arapiraca, accused of having killed and thrown the bodies of the young people into a well located on the property where he kept his studio. The other two suspects were arrested in the city of Nossa Senhora da Glória, last Saturday, the 20th, and taken to Alagoas.

According to the Alagoas Civil Police, at the scene of the crime, in addition to the bodies of the victims, who are two couples (including two teenagers), the teams also found an arsenal of firearms, a pickup truck and two snakes, one of which was a boa constrictor. and a python.
