Man who killed Gladson’s cousin with a stab wound to the stomach is arrested in the interior of Acre

After intense investigative work and collaboration between the Civil Police of Acre, the Military Police and the Brazilian Army, the perpetrator of the homicide against Bruno Cameli Messias, murdered with a stab wound to the stomach last Sunday (21), was captured this Tuesday afternoon Monday (23). The action was coordinated by the General Police Station of Marechal Thaumaturgo.

Police chief Marcílio Laurentino, responsible for the investigation, reported that shortly after learning of the murder, police teams were mobilized to locate the criminal. After hours of searching, the author was found at his uncle’s house, in the Buenos Ayres community, in the early afternoon of this Tuesday (23).

The suspect, upon being detained, offered no resistance and justified his action by claiming self-defense. According to him, during an argument while they were drinking alcohol, the victim allegedly attacked him and tried to attack him with a knife. To protect himself, the suspect stabbed Bruno Cameli in the abdomen with a knife, and then fled the scene.

The perpetrator of the crime was charged with misconduct due to police pursuit and is awaiting a custody hearing, scheduled for this Wednesday.
