The solo theatrical show “Carcinoma”, by Cia Visse and Versa, began last Monday (1st), touring the municipalities of Porto Walter, Mâncio Lima, Rodrigues Alves, Cruzeiro do Sul, Tarauacá and Feijó, in the interior of Acre . The artistic proposal takes the personal experience of breast cancer from actress and theater director, Claudia Toledo, to local communities, including schools, universities and Basic Health Units (UBS).

With the motto: “Pink October is every day”, the first stage of presentations takes place between the 1st and 5th of April, in Porto Walter, Mâncio Lima, Rodrigues Alves and Cruzeiro do Sul. The second stage of the project takes place between June 7th and 10th, in Tarauacá and Feijó, during the FETAC em Cena Theater Festival, in partnership with the Acre Theater Federation.

Funded by the Funcultura notice from the Elias Mansour Culture Foundation (FEM), the project “Circuito Teatral Carcinoma no Vale do Juruá, Tarauacá-Envira” aims to raise awareness among communities, through art, about a topic as relevant to society as cancer breastfeeding, highlighting the dialogue that must be shared on a daily basis.

During treatment for breast cancer, Claudia found refuge in words, and recorded the situations, sensations and relationships that permeated this challenge. This is how the dramaturgy of the show “Carcinoma” was born, written as if in a poetic diary, a work that appears spontaneously and is the result of the real experience lived by the author.

Artistic creation was used by the actress as a form of healing, awareness and the need to expose, through theater, the entire process experienced, bringing to theater a subject of great importance.

According to Claudia, the work seeks not only to raise awareness, but also to inspire and encourage people who face this reality, bringing to light the importance of preventive care and highlighting the need for dialogue and support in relation to breast cancer.

“Carcinoma is a testimony of overcoming, of transformation, healing, and of love for art, where poetry intertwines with reality, and where the power of art invites us to delve into our own emotions, connect with the essence of life , and finding beauty even in the most difficult situations”, reports the actress.

Admission is free to the general public and the presentation schedule can also be followed on the @cia.visseversa page, on Instagram.
