In response to the impacts caused by the floods that occurred in September and November last year, the SOS Rio Grande do Sul program has mobilized to offer financial support to those most affected, including Individual Microentrepreneurs (MEIs), self-employed people, artisans, fishermen and small farmers/ farmers.
The benefit, an initiative of the State Government, consists of aid worth R$ 2,500, intended to help in the recovery of commercial activities damaged by the bad weather. After a thorough registration process, the data is forwarded to the SOS Rio Grande do Sul Management Committee, thus ensuring a fair distribution of resources
In the municipality of Colinas, 123 registered people benefited from the aid. To ensure the efficiency of the process, interested parties needed to register in advance with EMATER de Colinas.
The act of signing the documentation took place on March 23 and was attended by Mareli Vogel, social worker from the State Civil House Secretariat. At the time, each approved registrant informed their own PIX, into which the money will later be deposited.
This solidarity effort is an integral part of a broader fundraising campaign promoted by the State Government since September last year, which has already raised more than R$5 million in donations. These resources have played a fundamental role in the reconstruction of municipalities hit hard by floods, such as Arroio do Meio, Estrela, Cruzeiro do Sul, Lajeado, Encantado, Muçum, Roca Sales and Santa Tereza.
