In February, fuel sales in Sergipe fell 10.2% | F5 News

Total fuel sales in Sergipe, during the month of last February, reached the mark of 66.7 million liters, representing a decrease of 1.5% compared to the same period of the previous year, February 2023. This information was raised by the Economic Information Center of the Federation of Industries of the State of Sergipe (FIES), based on data from the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP).

In relation to the previous month, January 2024, there was a 10.2% reduction in total fuel sales, indicating a downward trend in consumption in this period.

The survey covers sales of gasoline, hydrated ethanol, diesel oil and aviation kerosene, totaling 141 million liters of fuel sold in the first two months of 2024. This volume represents an increase of 1.7% compared to the same period in 2023 .

Breaking down the numbers by type of fuel, in February 2024 approximately 32.7 million liters of gasoline were sold, registering a drop of 0.6% compared to the same month of the previous year. Compared to January 2024, there was an 11.5% reduction in gasoline sales.

With regard to diesel oil, sales totaled 28.3 million liters in February 2024, representing a decrease of 9.3% compared to the previous month. Compared to February 2023, the reduction was 9.1%.

Hydrated ethanol showed a 104.6% increase in sales compared to February 2023, totaling around 4.8 million liters sold in the month. In relation to January 2024, growth was 2.5%.

Finally, aviation kerosene recorded sales of 995.8 thousand liters in February 2024, marking a drop of 36.6% compared to the previous month and 29.8% compared to February 2023.
