The Ministry of Labor and Employment released, this Monday (1), data from the General Register of Employed and Unemployed Persons (Caged) for the month of February. Tocantins continues to show balance in job creation, with frequent positive results.

In February, 12,358 hirings and 10,085 dismissals were carried out, resulting in a balance of 2,273 new jobs and a stock of 253,523. The Services sector was the one that employed the most, being responsible for the opening of 764 new jobs, followed by the Commerce sector, with 635, and Agriculture, with 385.

The economic policy of the Government of Tocantins has already had an impact on the lives of people from Tocantins, such as the data on the reduction in unemployment. For Secretary Carlos Humberto Lima, the work carried out by Governor Wanderlei Barbosa and the Secretariat of Industry, Commerce and Services (Sics) has been successful for investing in the State’s potential.

“Tocantins is a privileged state, both because of its location and its economic potential. Sics, under the determination of Governor Wanderlei Barbosa, has been working on the economic revitalization of the state, investing and strengthening where necessary”, concluded the secretary.
