On the air in “Renascer”, as Damião, and also in “Justiça 2”, giving life to Naldinho, Xamã vents about criticism, especially from people who find it strange that the rapper is also an actor. Although he fulfills his dream of playing roles in soap operas and series, the artist has already read comments on social media that questioned him about embarking on acting.

  • Getting serious! Mell Muzzillo poses at Xamã’s house and enjoys a party with the singer’s ex
  • Hot climate: With Damião and Eliana on fire in ‘Renascer’, Xamã jokes about becoming TV’s new rustic heartthrob: ‘I thought I was ugly’

“Musician, actor and normal people”, he defines himself on the web

— If you post anything on the internet, leave the house, put on some clothes… People will always complain. The trajectory I’ve had in music has left me very wary of criticism that hurt me years ago. No matter what I do, if I win an Oscar or a Grammy, there will always be someone to say bad things about it,” he says.

Xamã states that he tries not to read negative comments so as not to feel down. He also details that he follows the repercussions of his posts on the web whenever he can.

— There could be a thousand positive comments and two negative ones, if I take it personally, I’ll have a reason (to feel down). I try not to read it. When I see that a post has a lot of likes, I conclude that it was really shit or that it was really good (laughs) — she says.

In some of the negative comments he receives on social media, Xamã says that they compare him to ex-BBB.

— I get all kinds of comments, like “Ah, they’re recycling people”, “it’s like ex-BBB”, “Ah, you don’t know such a thing”. I always have to prove something. We have to silence critics in a way that is respectful of what we do. The people who respect us the most are the ones who doubted us the most — he explains.
