The city halls of Mato Grosso do Sul received R$88 million in the last transfer from the FPM (Municipal Participation Fund) in March. The 79 cities in the state share the total amount.

According to the CNM (National Confederation of Municipalities), the transfer showed growth of 33%, compared to the previous year. As the capital of MS, Campo Grande receives the largest grant from the State.

There are R$8.5 million for the Capital in the last ten days of March. The Union transfers R$4.3 million to Dourados.

Três Lagoas has an installment of R$3 million to close the month, while Corumbá receives R$2.7 million. Finally, there are R$2.5 million for Ponta Porã.

It is worth remembering that the FPM values mentioned are gross. In other words, they still receive discounts from Fundeb (Fund for Maintenance and Development of Basic Education and Valorization of Education Professionals), Health and Pasep (Program for the Formation of Public Servants’ Assets).

The FPM is a transfer of financial resources from the Union to municipalities throughout Brazil. The calculation of the amount considers the population of each Brazilian municipality and the per capita income of each state. The IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics) is the basis for both data.
