More than 200 families from Benevides received housing benefits from the State Government

The morning of this Thursday, the 28th, was one of joy for 263 families in the municipality of Benevides, in the Metropolitan Region of Belém. This is because the State Government delivered, through Governor Helder Barbalho, the housing benefits of the “Your House” program. “. The initiative, developed in conjunction with the Housing Company of the State of Pará (Cohab), guarantees financial assistance for the acquisition of materials to be used in the construction, renovation, expansion or improvement of your housing unit, and also financial resources to pay the hand of the bricklayer’s work. The total value of the benefit delivered is more than R$2 million.

“Today we delivered here in the municipality of Benevides, 263 benefits from the ‘Sua Casa’ program. Last year, we counted almost 30 thousand families benefiting from the program and in 2024, we are heading towards many more deliveries. I emphasize that this amount is not a loan, there is no to pay nothing for this, each family receives, in two installments, around R$16 thousand, between credit to exchange for construction materials and money to pay the bricklayer’s labor, to be able to improve the housing unit”, said the governor.

Helder also took the moment to reinforce the warning he has always made during benefit deliveries.

“Use it correctly, use this money in local commerce, to rotate and boost the economy, strengthen and increasingly develop the municipality of Benevides”, advised the head of the State Executive.

About “Sua Casa” – The “Sua Casa” program is intended for the construction, renovation, expansion, improvement or adaptation of housing units for families in situations of social vulnerability. The objective is to improve the quality of life of the population of Pará.

Luis André Guedes, CEO of Companhia de Habitação do Pará, managing body of the “Sua Casa” program, details that this is yet another delivery made by the government in the municipality of Benevides. “The benefit allows families to have access to decent housing, and priority is given to female heads of households, the elderly and people with disabilities,” said Luís André.

The mayor of the municipality, Luziane Solon, details that it is another package of works destined by the governor for the municipality. “This is another delivery of asphalt for the municipality’s roads, as well as 15 new vehicles to guarantee the safety of our municipality, and also housing benefits, which are enough to guarantee a better quality of life for those who live in our municipality”, said the manager .

For those who received the benefit, the day was one to celebrate, as is the case of Mrs. Maria da Conceição Silva, who was thrilled to receive “Sua Casa” directly from the hands of governor Helder Barbalho. “I’m very happy for this opportunity that the governor is giving me.
