Avenida Brasil will undergo blockages to raise the walkway

Avenida Brasil will be closed for the lifting of a walkway, in Coelho Neto, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro, from Saturday (29/03).

According to information from CET-Rio, the blockade will be carried out on different days and times:

• March 29th (Friday), from 9pm to 3am: there will be a lane closure on the side lane, towards Deodoro, at Rua Gustavo Viana Filho. A detour will be made on the track itself, in a narrowed section. According to CET-Rio, at the time of the lifting, the side lane, towards Deodoro, will be completely closed for 40 minutes to guarantee perimeter security and traffic will be diverted to the central lane.
• March 30th (Saturday), from 2am to 2pm: there will be a lane closure on the side lane, towards the Center, at Rua Gustavo Viana Filho. A detour will be carried out on the runway itself and, at the time of lifting, the side lane, towards the Center, will be completely closed for approximately 40 minutes to guarantee perimeter security. Traffic will be diverted to Rua Gustavo Viana Filho.

CET-Rio teams will be on site to assist traffic and specific signage will be installed to guide and alert drivers. Traffic conditions will be monitored with the aim of avoiding major impacts on traffic.
