Passenger terminal will be expanded, with the possibility of increasing the possibility of boarding and disembarking
Three airports in Mato Grosso do Sul, under the management of Aena Brasil, are expected to undergo renovations and improvements over the next two years. The Spanish concessionaire announced, during an event held in São Paulo this week, an investment of R$4.5 billion for 11 infrastructure equipment.
On the list are the airports of Campo Grande, Ponta Porã and Corumbá, which should receive work from the second half of the year, with completion expected in 2026.
For Campo Grande Airport, the construction of a second floor in the passenger terminal and new boarding and disembarking bridges is planned. An expansion is planned for Ponta Porã that will triple the total size of the passenger terminal. At Corumbá Airport, work will be carried out that will double the surface of the public area.
Large field
The proposed reforms will allow the International Airport to reach a capacity of 2.6 million passengers per year. These are major improvements, with the construction of a second floor in the passenger terminal, installation of boarding bridges, renovation of the aircraft apron and expansion of parking. The renovations will also allow the airport to be prepared to receive international flights. Aena took over management of the airport on October 13th.
