CSA is classified for the Copa Alagoas decision. This Tuesday, the team made its best performance of the year, beat Murici 3-0 and confirmed its place at the José Gomes da Costa Stadium. Almir Luan, Tiago Marques and Juninho Valoura scored the goals of the match in Murici. In the finals, Azulão will face Penedense and remains firmly in search of the 2025 Copa do Brasil.
CSA will compete in the Copa Alagoas finals against Penedense in two games, the first being next Sunday, at 5pm, at Rei Pelé, in Maceió. Then, the final will be on Wednesday, at 8pm, at the Alfredo Leahy Stadium, in Penedo.
With the CSA classification, Penedense has already guaranteed a place in Series D of the 2025 Brazilian Championship. This is because, according to the regulations, as Azulão is in Series C, the finalist of the Copa Alagoas already guarantees a place in the national competition.
The game
CSA changed the game’s scenario after just two minutes. Gustavo Xuxa took a corner from the left, at the second post, and defender Almir Luan headed it in to open the scoring.
Afterwards, Marquinhos received the attack, with freedom, but lost his pace and made it easier for Murici’s goalkeeper to defend. Alviverde had difficulty breaking through CSA’s defense with three defenders and created little. In one attempt, Sabiá shot from distance and Fernando Castro saved.
CSA had no scares in the final stage. On the contrary. He tried to score the second goal after ten minutes, in a beautiful play by top scorer Tiago Marques. He received it in the defense field, went on the attack, getting rid of two markers, and hit the goalkeeper. At 17, with a good finish from Alfredo, Murici created his best opportunity in the match, shooting wide.
At 26, in a fatal counterattack, Marquinhos crossed from the right, Pedro Favela cleared it and Juninho Valoura scored the third, defining the Azuline classification.
