Peugeot started manufacturing the new 2008 in Argentina. With a considerable investment of US$270 million, production began at the El Palomar plant, where the 208 hatch is already manufactured. Therefore, the 2008 becomes the second model to be built on the CMP platform in that location.
The design of the new Peugeot 2008 brings significant differences when compared to the e-2008, the electric version imported from Europe. The vehicle’s front grille features three-dimensional elements that align with the style of the brand’s most recent models, such as the new 508. The headlights have been completely updated, featuring a new internal arrangement of lights. Additionally, the daytime running LEDs have been redesigned into a triple vertical format, giving the car a more modern and aggressive appearance.

The rear of the new Peugeot 2008 preserves the same design as the e-2008 model, although there may be new features in the configuration of the internal lights.
