A 28-year-old young man was shot in the “butt” during a fight in a bar in the District of Moraes de Almeida, located in the southwest region of Pará, this Tuesday (26). He was rescued after asking for a ride to Nova Santa Helena (602 km from Cuiabá), in Mato Grosso. The victim is from Alta Floresta (804 km from Cuiabá).

According to the incident report, the Military Police were alerted to the case after a team from the Military Fire Department reported that a person had been shot. With this information, the teams went to the Municipal Emergency Room to speak to the victim.

During the report, the young man reported that he was in the district of Moraes de Almeida (PA), in a bar, drinking, when he had an argument with a man. The two ended up exchanging punches and, at one point, the suspect left the scene and later returned with a firearm, appearing to be a revolver.

According to the boy, upon seeing the armed man, he ran away and only realized later that he had been hit in the buttocks. He then went to the road, where he got a ride with a truck driver to Nova Santa Helena, where he sought help at a hospital, being treated and taken to a hospital in Colíder, where doctors identified a projectile in his buttock and recommended surgery.
