The Pernambuco Water and Climate Agency (Apac) released the rain forecast for the Metropolitan Region of Recife (RMR) and Zona da Mata for this Wednesday (27). Rains are expected to hit these two regions of the state, but with different intensities.

An orange alert was issued for Mata Norte, which means moderate and high risk for rain. The weather should be partly cloudy with rain showers across the region throughout the day with moderate to heavy intensity. In this region, the temperature can vary between 25ºC and 32ºC

For Greater Recife and Mata Sul, the alert was yellow, which represents a state of alert and moderate risk. In these regions, the weather may be partially cloudy with rain showers across the region throughout the day with moderate intensity. The thermal sensation varies between 23ºC and 33ºC.

“The Apac forecast indicates the approach of a meteorological system called the Zone of

Intertropical Convergence (ZCIT) that is currently acting over the ocean. The system is expected to move towards the continent and cause moderate rainfall with heavy showers in some locations, which may intensify throughout the day on Wednesday (27/03)”, published Apac on Instagram.

Pernambuco is officially in autumn, a season that began on March 20th and continues until June 21st. The new season arrives with a scenario similar to the end of summer, that is, heat and isolated rain.

According to Apac, rains are expected to hit Pernambuco until Sunday (31).
