Micro-entrepreneur Claudia de Carvalho, from Lavras (MG), received a surprise when she completed her purchases in Juruaia (MG) to replenish her underwear store’s stock. It was at the time of payment that she learned that she would receive the amount of R$ 1 thousand back. An unexpected money that now, according to Claudia, will help pay the month’s rent at her commercial point.
Cashback works as a kind of discount: you pay the full amount and then receive a percentage back. Therefore, she only understood that she would earn back that amount when she saw the promotion regulations.

“When they gave me the table, I thought: ‘I think I’m going to win a thousand!”, recalls Claudia. This is because the amount is equivalent to the total invested, according to the event booklet.
The project was conceived by the Festlingerie organization with the aim of attracting merchants to shop in Juruaia. According to the president of the Commercial and Industrial Association of Juruaia (Aciju), Tânia Rezende, it is the first time that the cashback promotion is proposed at this event.
“This way, we encourage the return of in-person customers as well, as this amount can be used to pay for their trip to Juruaia”, he explains.
Cashback amounts vary between R$75 and R$1,000. In order for the merchant to be able to withdraw his amount, it is necessary to look for the Aciju team, with proof of purchases made at participating stores.
Incentive for in-person shopping
Surprise for those who arrive in town and find the promotion. Directly from Pradópolis (SP), Maria Isabel Martins de Almeida has been replenishing the lingerie stock in the interior of Minas for at least 15 years.
For her, this cash back serves as a great incentive for traders. She says she invested almost BRL 40,000 and repaid almost BRL 1,600 in cashback, along with her daughter and partner, Gabriela Ornellas de Almeida.

“This amount helped a lot to pay our travel expenses and also our investment in new parts. Our sales expectation is high, now with the end of the year approaching we are counting on sales to be better and better”, he comments.
In addition to them, partners Adriely Cristina de Souza Santos and Vanessa Moscardo Alves were also excited to discover the promotion. The amount they received together will be used to celebrate the store’s anniversary, where they resell underwear, fitness and sex shop in Nepomuceno (MG).
“We found out right away, it was a huge surprise! […] We were excited and made more purchases to get the maximum value out of the promotion!”, he adds.
The intention, according to Tânia, is to give even more visibility to the companies that are participating in the festival. “The stores are disclosing internally […] and we are handing out flyers to customers arriving in the city”, he concludes.
18th Juruaia Festival
The 18th edition of Festlingerie de Juruaia brings the spring/summer launches of intimate, beach and fitness fashion for the season. The event runs from Wednesday (7) to Saturday (10).
