The exercise is also recommended for those who want to work on their posture. But a question arises: how long is it necessary to stay in the position?

Abdominal plank: how to do the exercise?

First, we need to learn how to perform this activity. Initially, you should start by positioning yourself by flexing your forearms on the floor or on a mat to avoid hurting yourself.

Your shoulders and body should be in a straight line from head to heels.

It is extremely important that, during the execution of the exerciseyou keep your abs and glutes contracted while holding the position.

How long should I stay in this position, anyway?

According to expert opinion, the ideal time to stay on the plank is between 30 seconds and 1 minute. More than this stipulated time will not be effective.

This period is recommended because it is when muscles are activated and then calorie burning begins to occur.

However, if you are just starting out, don’t worry about reaching your limit, as your body is not yet at its peak. conditions adequate physical strength to be able to withstand this entire period.

Instead, try to practice and evolve little by little, starting with 10 seconds, progress to 15 and so on.
