Walking daily is a highly effective practice for losing weight and has numerous health benefits, according to diet expert Michael Mosley.

On his podcast “Just One Thing”, the doctor suggested starting the day with a fur walk least 30 minutes to maximize these benefits.

According to him, this simple morning ritual not only promotes a healthy lifestyle, but also helps with weight loss, facilitating fat burning more efficiently.

The Importance of Natural Light for Sleep and Health

According to the Metrópoles portal, in addition, going outdoors in the morning is essential for regulating sleep patterns.

“In addition to waking you up, natural light helps adjust your body clock, which in turn regulates hunger, mood, body temperature, and a host of other important bodily processes,” Mosley explained.

He also noted that light levels outdoors are at least 10 times more intense than indoors, which sends messages to the pituitary gland in the brain that it should reduce production of the hormone melatonin.

Benefit Walk

To optimize the benefits of exercise, Mosley recommends walking for at least 30 minutes every morning.

However, he points out that even a brief walk can have a positive impact on health.

“Any walk – short, long, fast or slow – will strengthen muscles and bones, relieve muscle and joint pain, burn some calories and increase energy levels,” the diet expert concluded.
