Far.me sends medications in installments to customers in a box, cataloged by date and time

Far.me innovated the method of organizing a medicine routine using a box. The company catalogs medications according to their dates and times, placing them in small individual envelopes in chronological order. From this point on, the patient has the entire medication list meticulously organized every month.

The inspiration came when a friend of the founders Samilla Dornellas, Marina Santos and Luciana Farnese received an opportunity to work abroad. However, her mother needed a precisely organized medication routine, following the doses, days and times with complete fidelity to the medical prescription.

The now Far.me partners, even before founding the company, solved their friend’s problem together: small plastic bags carried the medicines cataloged with a pen.

With the organization provided by the box, the founders’ friend noticed an improvement in her mother’s exam results in less than 1 month.

Businesswoman Samilla Dornellas spoke about the brand in this Wednesday’s episode (April 2, 2024). Podsonhar, a podcast in partnership with Entrepreneurial Power, is presented by student Miguel Carvalho and Renato Arthur, co-founder of the podcast. The program is available on the YouTube channel of Power360.

“She called and told us that her mother had improved her blood sugar, blood pressure and even psychologically. Just by taking your medicine at the right time and on the right date, in the correct doses. Then this affected us, because it is a pain that affects millions of people”, Samilla told PodSonhar.

Based on the insight into solving the problem of routine medicines, the company began offering its services in 2018. Initially, to hospitals and clinics, and later to individual customers.

The pharmaceutical partners were able to understand the scenario more easily and, therefore, the solution gained repercussion quickly. Currently, the company has 180 employees.

The brand’s objective is to contribute to the daily treatment of people who use routine medications. “We do this because we learned that this is about people’s lives”.
