Davi Brito was harassed by some residents of the city of Canoas, in Rio Grande do Sul, one of the most affected by the floods hitting the state. The BBB 24 champion was broadcasting live at the location, an action that would have disturbed some of the victims of the tragedy who were placed in a shelter in the city.
As reported by the profile “Canoas Mil Grau”, the Bahian arrived in the Rio Branco neighborhood on Thursday morning (10). The ex-brother would have started recording to explain the situation at the place when “he was surprised by several Canoans who didn’t like his presence there”. According to the profile, residents claimed that Davi “was worried about creating media” in the neighborhood, which was one of the most affected.
In the comments on the publication, internet users were divided between criticism and praise for the Bahian’s action. “He and several story heroes are taking advantage of the situation in RS to promote themselves. Real heroes don’t make stories”, commented one person. “Disaster Tourism is one of the saddest and most disrespectful things a human being can do in the face of a tragedy”, pointed out Ana Paula Renault, who has been fiercely critical of Davi’s performance in Rio Grande do Sul.

And honestly, the more media, the better, as long as it helps”, commented another internet user. “Sorry guys, I’m from Rio Grande do Sul, I don’t sympathize with Davi, nor do I support him. But I’m grateful for his help in getting donations to help and I was volunteering in one of the kitchens, so let the guy help”, defended one person. “I see it another way, he’s here and apparently he’s going to help, film and take the information to his millions of followers, it’s good for us,” said a third.
“That he wants to use the moment to show himself is clear, but the important thing is that he is bringing donations, that’s what matters”, declared another internet user. “I met him today and he’s a f***ing kid. People are upset that they didn’t have their things, he calmed the people down himself. The kid is very mature for his age”, reported another person who was with the ex-BBB.
Davi Brito’s mobilization for RS
Through social media, the ex-brother asked for donations to be made to his personal PIX and was criticized by former BBB from Minas Gerais, Ana Paula Renault, for presenting “mismatched information” for followers. The Bahian revealed he already had received more than R$70 thousand in donations. “Send PIX, send PIX. Total mobilization, we will do our utmost, total mobilization,” he said in a video recorded when he had already traveling towards RS.
In less than 24 hours, Davi reported having received R$72,625.20, as he shared this Wednesday morning (8). The amount was partially converted into the purchase of water bottles and proven to Davi’s followers through an invoice also published on social media, with the value of R$41,880. After being criticized, the Bahian explained that he would carry out, through invoices, an accounting for the donors, reaching stating that he had “no obligation” to help.
The champion of BBB 24, carried out boat rescues this Thursday (9) also in Canoas. O Bahian arrived in the city of Rio Grande do Sul on Wednesday (8)showed that they obtained three trucks of supplies, one of water and two of food, through donations they have received, and visited the kitchen of one of the shelters. Davi said he is in Rio Grande do Sul to help the population from Rio Grande do Sul and doesn’t know when he will return to Salvador, where he lives.
