According to the BBC, in the United Kingdom Constitution, it is determined that when the head of state is unable to fulfill his official duties, a council of state must be appointed to take the king’s place.

Today, this council has the following members:

  • Queen Camilla (wife of Charles).
  • Prince William (eldest son).
  • Princess Anne (sister).
  • Prince Edward (brother).

Princes Harry and Andrew can no longer be called up because they are now royals but cannot work in royal roles.
