The famous Pagode do Jorgin, PDJ, celebrates the talent and contagious energy of Jorge Farias, former member of Grupo Menos é Mais, who is now embarking on a new journey in entrepreneurship and music. Next Saturday, May 11th, at Prainha da Asbac, the scene will be festive with the recording of a memorable DVD. It will be a meeting of great Brazilian musicians, with a highly selected repertoire and big post-recording plans!
It was at an unpretentious meeting of friends, in 2022, in a bar in the city, that PDJ emerged. In 2023, what was just a joke became something big and two editions of the party were held in Modesto, with more than 2500 people in each. From then on, the desire of Jorge Farias and the public who enjoyed these parties to make more editions only grew. But before that, Jorge knew that he needed to give an even more professional look to the project, and it was in 2024 that he concentrated his efforts and together with Bem Dito Produções he will record PDJ’s first DVD.
For the DVD, the artist made a “samba selection”, which brings together great musicians from different bands in the country. “I met many virtuoso musicians across the country and in this project I managed to bring together what I consider the best of pagode, and a great satisfaction for me is that they are all my friends! It will be a music class and the energy between everyone is incredible. There are musicians from the band Fundo de Quintal, Pagode do Adame, Vou pro Sereno, Davi Quaresma, Dudu Nobre, Mumuzinho, among others”, says Jorge. The vocals include artists who are part of Bem Dito Produções, a company in which Jorge is a partner. Magrão, singer from Grupo Benzadeus, Moisés and Tonzão, singers from Grupo Largo Tudo and Lia Almeida, new country singer from the producer, will lead the band PDJ on the recording.
Regarding the repertoire, the artist didn’t want to follow the standard of what all bands are currently doing, and made a meticulous selection of pagodas for people who really have the pagodeiras stamp. “We’re going to play pagode for pagodeiro! We chose the songs that we feel pleasure playing and many are B-side pagodas, but I’m sure everyone will enjoy the new musical look we gave them and soon the bands will also be rescuing these songs that we will remember on the DVD”, says the artist enthusiastically.

With no time to end, in true PDJ style, the party starts at 2pm and recording begins strictly at 3pm, as all images will be captured in sunlight. After the recording, there will be the full PDJ show, and the party will also feature a show by Teus Santos DJs during breaks. The ticket is in the second batch, costs 55 reais and can be purchased on the Ingresse.com website.
