The businesswoman Fabiana Justus, 37 years old, used social media to explain how her bone marrow transplant happened last March. This Wednesday, the 24th, she said that the Unified Health System (SUS) was the one who paid for the procedures until the bone marrow arrived in Brazil.

The influencer clarified that this process is a standard that applies to everyone who needs to receive a transplant.

“The entire transplant process, from marrow collection until it reaches the recipient, is carried out by the SUS. Regardless of whether I am in a private hospital, whether I pay for the treatment, this transplant process, of the marrow reaching you (…) is the SUS. Outside, it is the SUS that guarantees, that does, that organizes. Everyone has this right”, she clarified, highlighting that the donor did not need to come to Brazil.

“My donor donated there in his city, it’s like a bag, like it was made of blood, but it’s orange. He does it in his city, there’s no need to come,” he said.

Fabiana also clarified that the procedure is not considered surgery: “No, I received it through a catheter like I received a blood transfusion. It’s a really crazy thing, science is revolutionary”, she celebrated.

Daughter of businessman and presenter Roberto JustusFabiana was diagnosed in January this year with myeloid leukemia.
