On the afternoon of last Friday, May 3rd, the Brazilian Mathematics Olympiad Medalist Awards Ceremony (OBMEP) was held. The ceremony took place on the premises of the Federal University of Cariri – UFCA, in Juazeiro do Norte. Among the distinguished honorees, the former student of Escola Municipal em Tempo Integral Marieta Cals, Walter Fernandes, ascended to the stage of achievement when he was awarded the National and Regional bronze medal.
