City Hall supports Taekwondo project and delivers new uniforms to students

Last Monday, 6th, the mayor of Arapongas, Sérgio Onofre, accompanied by the Secretary of Culture, Leisure and Events (Secle), Geison Cortez, participated in the delivery of new uniforms to students of the social project “Overcoming Barriers with Taekwondo” The initiative takes the practice of martial art to 25 students – from the 3rd year of the José Bernardo dos Santos Municipal School, Vila Industrial. The acquisition of the new uniforms was a partnership between the City of Arapongas, Municipal Department of Culture and PW Taekwondo Team/. Madureira. “It’s essential to combine education and sport. Discipline inside and outside the classroom. It’s a very cool project that really encourages students,” said the mayor, Sérgio Onofre. is coordinator of the Municipal Monitoring Center, he spoke more about the initiative: “This project is encouraged by the Paulo Gustavo Law, promoting social and cultural actions. It is gratifying to be able to cooperate with students from the municipal network”, he emphasized.

CLASSES

The “Overcoming Barriers with Taekwondo” project classes take place every Monday and Wednesday, from 5:10 pm to 6:00 pm, at the headquarters of the PW TAEKWONDO TEAM Academy, located on Rua Tiriba, n°75 next to the Municipal School José Bernardo. The students were awarded a project with completely free classes, uniform and belt exam for the year 2024.
