This Monday, 6th, the Arapongas Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) received the donation of four new Tablets (a type of portable computer for practical use). The items were passed on through the Security Council of the Municipality of Arapongas (Conseg), through an integrated action between businesspeople in the city. A fifth tablet was purchased by the City Hall. The delivery was attended by Mayor Sérgio Onofre, the Secretary of Health, Moacir Paludetto Jr, the general coordinator of SAMU Arapongas, Carlos Eduardo Arruda, the president of Conseg, Wesley Squilino, councilor Major Arduin, and other Conseg representatives.

SAMU coordinator, Carlos Arruda, emphasized that the equipment enables modernization in the provision of services. “This technological advance aims to computerize and speed up the completion of service reports during incidents, providing a faster and more accurate response to the population’s demands,” he explained. Furthermore, tablets will be integrated with state-of-the-art medical equipment; recently acquired by the City Hall.

The secretary of the department, Paludetto Jr, thanked the businesspeople for their commitment to the public health service. “With the combination of tablets to speed up documentation and state-of-the-art medical equipment, SAMU Arapongas demonstrates its commitment to providing excellent service to the community, even in the most challenging and urgent situations. We appreciate the partnership,” he said.

Mayor Sérgio Onofre highlighted the importance of partnerships and strategic actions that result in good service for the entire population. “We have a Conseg active not only in the area of security. SAMU plays a crucial role, saving lives and providing quality care 24 hours a day. A positive step and we want to advance even further”, he said.

MORE INVESTMENTS

Arapongas SAMU has made progress in acquiring equipment. Another highlight was the video laryngoscope device, used for intubating critically ill patients. This cutting-edge technology offers a minimally invasive approach, reducing procedure time and associated risks, while providing a clear and detailed visualization of the intervention area.

Also the purchase of a portable ultrasound. A vital tool in the early diagnosis of trauma patients with suspected internal bleeding. The practicality and mobility of this device allows for a more agile and effective intervention, potentially saving lives in critical situations. “This investment in medical technology represents a significant step in the search for effectiveness and efficiency in the health care of Araponguenses citizens”, included Arruda.
