Motoboys receive fare exemption for quick stops at Rotary Parking

The mayor of Arapongas, Sérgio Onofre, met this Monday, 6th, with a group of motorcycle couriers who work in the municipality. At the meeting, the mayor signed decree no. 359/24 – of May 6, 2024, authorizing the exemption from fees for the Rotary Parking quick stop for motorcycle couriers. The decree took into account the allegation of charges for quick stops to independent or contracted couriers. “We are responding to a fair request from the category. We know the challenges and difficulties faced by motorcycle couriers and this is a fair way to contribute to these workers”, said Onofre.
The decree also establishes that the delivery person must register with the company responsible for operating the Rotary Parking, proving the activity of delivery services. Later this Monday afternoon (06), the mayor scheduled a meeting with the Rotativo Parking company to discuss other details regarding the exemption fee for these workers.
OTHER DEMANDS
At the same opportunity, Onofre heard other demands from the category. Such as installing a support point for motorcycle couriers and strengthening dialogue between the class with the Arapongas Municipal Guard (GMA). “We suggest that they organize themselves and form an association. With this, it will be possible to sign an agreement with the City Hall for transfers and other legal support. Furthermore, we want to bring our GMA even closer to the community. We are available to contribute to the Araponguense worker”, highlighted Onofre.
Also participating were the Secretary of Security, Paulo Argati, the superintendent of GMA, Micheletti, and the president of the City Council, Márcio Nickenig.
