This week, during an agenda in Curitiba, the mayor of Arapongas, Sérgio Onofre, was received by state deputy Pedro Paulo Bazana, as well as businesspeople from the pet sector and veterinary clinics. On the agenda, initial issues were discussed regarding a possible partnership aimed at implementing a regional veterinary hospital in Arapongas. According to Onofre, the group showed a lot of interest and intends to schedule a visit to the municipality. “It would be something fantastic and would expand care for animals, providing support for the entire animal protection network”, highlighted Onofre.
Furthermore, the mayor mentioned management initiatives in the segment, such as the investment in the construction of the Arapongas Municipal Kennel – a project completed in 2021. The place provides better care for animals in a state of abandonment and is located on Rua Anu Coroca – Pq. Industrial IV, South Zone. In addition to transferring resources to animal protection NGOs and assistance to volunteer caregivers. “In addition to what we do through the Executive, we have two great defenders of the animal cause in the Chamber, councilor Meyre and councilor Rodrigo de Deus. With this, it is possible to join forces in favor of the cause of animals in Arapongas”, added Onofre.
According to deputy Bazana, the group will also prepare a proposal, with a study plan and other technical details. “At first, it was defined this way. The mayor thought it would be best to make a technical visit to Arapongas to analyze all the possibilities. We will monitor all developments”, he added.
