Theater piece retraces collective experiences of the Covid-19 pandemic – catve.com

The theatrical show Sociedade dos Anticorpos arrives in Cascavel at the weekend. The performance will be Saturday (04) at the Gilberto Mayer Cultural Center at 8 pm with free entry.

The show “The Antibody Society” deals with the collective experience of the Covid-19 pandemic, combining resources from theater, dance, audiovisual and performance. “The Antibody Society” talks about the historical and cyclical relationship between humans and viruses, about the need to pay tribute and mourn collectively for the people killed by Covid-19 in Brazil, about the explosion of digital culture in times of social isolation . It also deals with the personal tragedies resulting from the disease in different social realities, the relationship between the exploitation of nature and the risk to human survival, and the colorful bodies that can emerge from all these ashes.

“The Society of Antibodies” is the result of the work of Poéticas do ENTRE, a collective of multidisciplinary artists from Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Bolivia, Mexico and Venezuela based at the Federal University of Latin American Integration (UNILA).
