PGJ receives Tiradentes and Military Police Merit medals

Due to the notable performance and recognition of the work carried out by Justice in Amazonas, the State Attorney General (PGJ), Alberto Rodrigues do Nascimento Júnior, was awarded, on the night of this Thursday (25), with the Tiradentes medals and Military Police Merit, at Rocam headquarters in the Barracks of the 2nd Shock Police Battalion. On the occasion, the prosecutor of the Special Action Group to Combat Organized Crime (Gaeco), Márcia Oliveira, also received the Tiradentes medal in recognition of her fight and dedication to her outstanding performance.

The event aims to keep in memory the historical achievements of Tiradentes, patron of Brazil’s military police, rewarding civil and military authorities, motivating them to continue the good work done to Amazonian society, through the Tiradentes, Time of Service and Military Police Merit medals, established by decree since 1976. The honors are considered the highest in the PM-AM.

Honored at the ceremony with two medals, the Attorney General of Justice, Alberto Rodrigues do Nascimento Júnior, thanked the PM command for the badges and said that the recognition enhances his public life and all his commitment to social justice. “It is an honor to be honored by the brave Military Police of my State alongside so many civil and military personalities. I can only thank the Military Police. This tribute also extends to my family and the MPAM”, he stated.

This year’s military ceremony was a tribute to the 187th anniversary of the Amazonas Military Police and a tribute to the Patron Tiradentes. Those chosen to receive the medals “who have become worthy of recognition by the corporation for their achievements, qualities and values”.

In addition to the PGJ, the ceremony was attended by representatives of the Court of Justice of Amazonas (TJAM); the Regional Labor Court (TRT); the General Commanders of the Military Police of several States; from the State University of Amazonas (UEA) and several state departments.
