Jundiaí City Hall will keep this Thursday (28) — an optional point on account of the Eve of the Lord’s Passion Day — two Basic Health Units (UBSs) open to vaccinate against Influenza (flu). In addition to the population aged 70 and over, the city brought forward the campaign and will start applying it to seniors aged 60 and over.
From 8am to 12pm, the following will be available: UBS Colônia, located at Rua Professora Benedita Siqueira Godoy, 11, and UBS Rami, at Rua Cica, 1345.
To receive the vaccine, you must present a document with CPF. Registration will be made in the information system, following determinations of the Ministry of Health.
Annually, the influenza vaccine is updated to be effective in protecting against strains of the main viruses that circulate in Brazil. This year, the campaign was brought forward, which is traditionally carried out in the months of April and May, due to the increase in the circulation of respiratory viruses in the country.
In Jundiaí, the application was staggered to ensure faster service, reducing the waiting time that can be generated in health services. In the city, more than 77 thousand elderly people must be vaccinated.
Covid-19
Elderly people who go to services will also be able to update their vaccination card with the booster against Covid-19. It is essential that anyone who received it more than six months ago receives the vaccine, which can be administered at the same time as the dose against Influenza.
