Maya Massafera, formerly known as Matheus Mazzafera, is sharing details of her gender transition. The YouTuber surprised her followers by revealing parts of a document showing her new name and gender, as well as a new spelling for her surname, with two “S”.

Although she has yet to post images after the change, Maya made a brief appearance in April to comment on her gender reassignment. At the time, she promised to share the entire experience with her five million followers on Instagram.

In her words, the YouTuber stated: “I needed to stay away from the internet and treat myself. But I’m going back and I want to tell and share everything with you”, she assured.

The influencer also appealed to her fans, asking them not to believe all the information released about her until she spoke out herself. “Until I speak out, don’t believe everything you read about me because most things are distorted or lies,” she said.

It is worth noting that, despite Maya’s promise, her social media profile still does not have any image of her transformation. So, fans are waiting for the first glimpse of the changes.
