The discussions are taking place very confidentially behind the scenes at SBT. Despite the broadcaster’s announcement that it will extend programming with Celso Portioli and Patrícia Abravanel after Eliana’s departure from the Sunday schedule, several names were considered to fill the space.
The discussions do not rule out a new program for 2025. And one of the names that would have gained prominence in discussions about possible scenarios was the name of global presenter Sabrina Sato.
Even the name of presenter Angélica was mentioned for a possible probe. However, channel executives did not really buy the idea, as they considered that Angélica would not be willing to face Luciano Huck as her main competitor. And in this context, Sabrina Sato’s name would have been widely discussed for a discreet and confidential survey.
According to SBT sources, there is a bet that the presenter will consider some kind of delay so that she has her own program on the ´almighty´ open schedule, and therefore a current proposal to occupy the Sunday schedule in SBT’s prime time may be attractive.
According to this columnist’s findings, despite SBT’s survey on Sabrina being quite discreet, Globo’s management had already asked the programming management to reinforce attention on Japan, with regular dialogues about solid and promising projects in global programming.
