90s heartthrob talks about work as a real estate agent after lack of invitations: ‘I’m not ashamed’

Revealed as a teenager in the theater, in the classic production of “Capitães de Areia”, by Jorge Amado, Roberto Bataglin experienced his peak as a heartthrob in the 90s, when he did several jobs on television. Among them, the soap operas “The Next Victim”, “Lua Filled with Love” and “Vira-lata”. Today, at 61 years old and without an invitation to return to acting, the actor, parents of three children, makes a living as a real estate agent.
“I work in brokerage with my properties, building, selling, renting… I renovate, build from scratch. Right now I’m renovating a roof in Recreio. I upgrade the property to sell or rent later. I like working with construction. My grandfather, my father’s father, was from the middle,” said the actor in an interview with the Papagaio Falante podcast.

Roberto Bataglin also said that invitations to work as an actor have decreased over the years, but he says he is proud of his resume:
“Very soon it seemed that actors had nothing left to offer. Demand began to drop. I’m not ashamed to talk about it. Abroad, actors my age continue to thrive. With me, it gradually changed. The intensity of the work. I didn’t stop working. I’m proud of my resume, I worked with great actors.”
