A Actress Samara Felippo, 45, and former basketball player Leandro Barbosa, 41, are fighting a legal battle that has lasted nine years. The actress accuses her ex-husband of property violence and a financial scam, and the lawsuit reveals that he owes her around R$11.7 million.

In videos published on social media, Samara explains that, during her marriage, she sold an apartment to help buy a house with Leandro. However, as the house was purchased before the marriage, it was agreed in the divorce, in 2013, that the athlete would compensate her. The initial debt was R$3.4 million.

Over the years, the amount increased considerably due to monetary correction and 1% monthly interest for late payments. Currently, the debt exceeds R$11.7 million.

Properties and disagreements:

One of the couple’s properties, intended for Leandro, should be sold for R$5 million so that he could pay off his debt with Samara.

Samara would have to leave the property 30 days after the sale, otherwise she would be responsible for any damage and would have to pay rent to her ex-husband.

In 2016, Samara accused Leandro of not making payments and selling one of the properties before sharing.

Leandro’s defense alleged financial difficulties and devaluation of the property.

Leandro’s reaction:

After Samara’s accusations, Leandro Barbosa released a statement denying the allegations and stating that she had already received two properties in São Paulo that were equivalent to or exceeded the value of the apartment she sold. He denies the omission of payments and the existence of a scam.
